Immunochemical relationships between bacteria belonging to two separate families: pneumococci and Klebsiella.

چکیده
The cross-reactions of more than 60 capsular (K) type-specific polysaccharides of Klr~hsiellu in antipneumococcal sera of 26 specific types and in several anti-Salr~~o/iellu sera are described and discussed, many for the first time. Quantitative data on the extent of cross-reactivity are given in many instances. From these, and from a study of residual fractions of antibody in the supernatants, it has been possible to confirm the presence of non-reducing end-groups of wglucuronic acid in KZ. K8 and KZO. Such groups were also correctly predicted for K9 and K59 and will most probably be found upon chemical examination of K15, K23, K27, K30, K33, K45. K51 and K55. Non-reducine end-groups of L-rhamnose were correctly predicted for K47 and K56 and will likewise be found in K17 and K19. Other correlations of chemical structure and immunological specificity are pointed out, as well as limitations of the methods used.

Discourse of young and old women in Iranian families
In this study, the researcher attempted to addresses the relationships within the family from the perspective of relationships between two generations: old women, and young women. What discourses are subject to these relationships and are these discourses close together or considered as obvious sign of the gap between the two generations? The method used by researcher was taking advantage of th...
متن کاملA Comparative Study on the Effect of Plant Extracts with the Antibiotics on Organisms of Hospital Origin
Thirty five plants belonging to twenty families were studied for their antimicrobial activity. Among the plants tested, 43 % showed antimicrobial activity. Fifteen plants belonging to 10 families exhibited activity against gram positive bacteria and gram negative bacteria. Four plants namely Azadirachta indica, Garadenia jasminoides, Magnifera indica, and Wrightia tinctora showed an appreciable...
متن کاملThe detection of Klebsiella pneumoniae 16srRNA specific gene by PCR-ELISA technique
Objective: Klebsiella Pneumoniae is one of the most important infection bacteria of the Enterobacteriaceae family. It is also the second factor of hospital bacteremia due to the gram negative bacteria after Escherichia coli. In this research, this bacteria with the private 16SrDNA gene, was identified through PCR-ELISA technique. Materials and Methods: In this method the dNTP labeled with Digox...
متن کاملPrevalence of Class 1 Integron in Klebsiella Pneumoniae Isolates from Hospitals of Sanandaj, Iran
Background and Aims: Integrons as mobile genetic elements are located on the chromosome or on a plasmid in bacteria. Integrons play a main role in the dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes among different families of bacteria. The aim of this study was to identify the prevalence of class 1 integron in Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates from hospitals of Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, Iran. M...

The presence of Vibrio spp. and Salmonella spp. in crabs marketed at the Bezerra de Menezes Ave., Fortaleza, State of Ceará, Brazil, was assessed between February and May, 2003. The number of individuals sampled in each one of the fifteen weekly samplings ranged between four and eight. Seven strains of Salmonella, from four different samplings, were identified, being five of them identified as ...
